Masters In DU can admit the students of National University
This recommendation was made in the meeting presided over by the Vice-Chancellor on Tuesday afternoon. The final decision in this regard will be taken by the University Syndicate.
According to the recommendation, students of other universities can also be admitted subject to the availability of seats in the regular Master's degree courses of Dhaka University (DU). In that case they will have to take the entrance exam and there will be no age limit.
Before in Dhaka University admitted there students but ,now ony students who passed graduation will get opportunity to do masters in their department. If the recommendation is finalized, they have the opportunity to get admission in any other departments. At the same time students who have passed from outside universities are also getting this opportunity. All have to get admission through entrance exam.
Confirming the fact, Professor Sitesh Chandra Bachar, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy , told The Daily Star , "Many of the students who pass the graduation pass do not get admission in the Masters. In that case some seats remain vacant. If the recommendation is implemented then the department will be able to admit new students through admission test through notification. In this case, students from outside universities can also be admitted through the admission test. The cost will remain the same condition.'
According to the meeting, the students of the university are directly admitted to the masters after graduation. This opportunity will available for up to 3 years after graduation.
After passing graduation, some students do not take admission in post graduation forv arious reasons. Then the advertisement will be advertised from the department or institute level to fill up the vacant seats and the applicants will be admitted to the vacant seats after taking admission test.
